Stopping The Gears That Turn & Turn

Today was crazy!  I usually work 16 to 17 hours a week (all on my startup) but today I really spread myself thin. I don't know what got into me, but I thought I could take on extra work and help a few startups out as a consultant to help get them off the ground (Game Show Buzzer Sound Here)!!!!! Although I am very interested in one, I honestly do not know how I thought I could begin helping others.  If I was the kind of person to go half ass, then maybe, but when I work on something, I go one million and 20 quadrillion %.  Well I guess a lot of that I can't control because of my (undiagnosed) OCD :-) Anyway, I digress.  It is very important to not kill yourself while work and do what you love. The gears are always turning in my head to do more and more...like how can I fix this, or what about adding this, or what about this idea, or what about creating this! Yea, many of the ideas are good but at the end of the day, I had to remind myself to stay focused on one thing and not get sidetracked at the moment. It helps to have people like my wife that are partners and is here to keep me sane at times :) Lesson today: Work hard, work less, enjoy your friends & family, quit when it is time to quit, and stay focused on the primary task at hand.

v  Investors want to see that you are humble.
v  We seized one of our biggest deal every by responding to an investors answer with, "on a scale of 1 to 10, my product is about a 3"
v  Don't be stingy or worry about equity when founding a company.

Well, how do I say it...

WE'RE LIVE! Yeaaaa!!!!! It is only 4:25 a.m. here so I am not really sure if that is yea we are live, or yea I can finally go to sleep! Hehe lolSmile Well at least we are up and going and I really am excited and fortunate that we are going to help bring awesome new startups to the forefront.  It is great that the internet provides a way for users to search for something within a snap! I remember when we used to drive 25 minutes to the library and then search high and low for another 15 minutes (at least), just to be able to look for something of any kind of interest.  Any who, I digress :)
We are excited that not only are we providing another avenue for startups to get the word out, but we are also rewarding our top social sharers with awesome awesome weekly promotions.  Well while I am at this point, it seems like a great place to just put our site introductory (a copy of our first newsletter) here because little sleep, makes me a dull boy.  Cheers everyone! :)
